Kenya is a land like no other! From the urban hustle and bustle of the capital Nairobi to the savannah and wildlife of the Maasai Mara to the beautiful white sand beaches of Mombasa, our trip to Kenya was a once in a lifetime experience!

Check out some of my favorite pics and videos from Kenya and be sure to check out my travel blogs highlighting our time there.

Maasai Mara:

The Family-

Little Layla chillin’ with her shades!

I closed my eyes for three seconds and my daughter sneaked this pic.

Three of my favorite ladies!

Our Maasai guide and I at the airport before flying back to Nairobi.

One last pic at the Maasai airstrip before heading back to Nairobi.

Me doing what I do on the Savannah.

The Maasai Village-

The higher you jump the more ladies you get…at least that is what the Maasai warriors told us.

A random Sunday just chillin’ in the Maasai village.

I’ve heard of turning lemons into lemonade. How about turning poop into fire?

The Wildlife-

Cheetah on the savannah.

Nothing as majestic as an elephant up close.

What else would lions do on a lazy afternoon? Enjoy the sunshine!

And of course, get a bit of sun on your belly!

You got this bro, you are definitely king of the hill!

Even birds do it and bees do it…. FYI, lion sex takes like 10 seconds max!

Clearly, the 10-seconds tired him out.

A true love-hate relationship.

Hippos wading in the waters.

Something about the light really framed her face nicely.

I was really wanting to see this gazelle jump….he (or she) never did.

Buffalo grazing on grass. What part exactly do buffalo wings come from?

The slugs aren’t small, that’s for sure!

A leopard enjoying a meal.

Nothing left but a bit of fur and a few long bones.

A proof of life pic on the savannah.

These lions were pure muscle and power.

Lions fresh from a kill.

The lions just waltzed by like they didn’t have a care in the world.

Other scenery of the savannah-

Morning hot air balloon trips a popular in the Maasai Mara.

Sunset on the mara.

A lazy river meandering through the mara.

The hum of other safari vehicles occasionally broke the silence of the savannah.

Even Maasai warriors have to stay warm in the early morning.

Squinting with the sun in my eyes. Welcome to hot a** Mombassa!

Sunrise over the Indian Ocean at Diani Beach.

My daughter and I on Diani Beach. Diani had beautiful, white sands.

A gecko chilling in our bedroom.

A long walk down an even longer Diani Beach.

Tuk-tuks rule the road in Diani Beach.

A couple of fishing boats enjoying a mid-day break in the Indian ocean.

A little tree cover to provide respite from the sweltering sun at our Diani Beach Airbnb.

The Flights:

Wing of a Lufthansa Airbus A330 flying from Frankfurt to Nairobi.

Lufthansa Airbus A330 wing flying over an overcast southern Germany.

Dawn over western Europe and a United Airlines Boeing 777 wing flying from Chicago to Frankfurt.

Sunrise over the Atlantic flying from Chicago to Frankfurt.

Pink JamboJet engine flying from Mombassa to Nairobi.

I love the reflection of the plane’s windows in the pink engine.

SWISS Airbus A330 flying over a cloud covered western Europe on the way from Zurich to Chicago.

Wheels down over Nairobi landing after a short flight from Mombassa.

The flying pumpkin. The orange fly540 CRJ-100 that flew us from Nairobi to Mombassa.
